"What is going on in her bedroom?” Jendri wondered. “Are they getting ready for our return already? I know she wants some sort of renovations."
"Before her wedding night? I doubt it. This is either for Sharue or us, and if it were Sharue, she would not use it on us first,” V'Anekka declared.
"She might try it out on us,” Jendri said.
"Oh, now you have me in suspense as well! You must be punished,” V'Anekka said.
"Punish me tomorrow morning, after she leaves us and before the wedding,” Jendri advised. “That way you will be relaxed during the ceremony."
"Good plan. Let us dress for our lord right away. We've no idea when she may appear."
The wives got into their “romantic” costumes and then lay down carefully side by side in V'Anekka's bedroom to rest until the Queen appeared. That was how she found them, fast asleep in their finery. She lay down gently beside Jendri and kissed her cheek.
Jendri sat straight up, startled, and when she realized what had happened, she began to try to get up to show proper respect to the Queen.
But the Queen was having none of that, and she pressed Jendri back to the mattress. “Darling, relax. Let's not be so formal, please, just for a change? Can we not all be lovers, just this once?"
On the other side of the bed, V'Anekka also awakened and sat up. “Oh, I'm so sorry!"
"Stop, both of you!” K'Endarra laughed. “You are allowed to be tired. I know I wore you out last night. And I see you are prepared for me already. Why don't you freshen up and join me in the library?” She got up to leave.
"K'Endarra, what are you wearing?” V'Anekka asked, looking more closely at the Queen.
"I have never seen you wear your hair that way,” Jendri added.
K'Endarra spun around. Her long, dark, wavy hair was pulled back with a velvet ribbon, and she wore a full-sleeved ivory shirt with brown velvet pants tucked into high suede boots. “A little period dress from the time of the troubadours. Do you like it?"
As K'Endarra turned they could see that she also wore a delicate dress sword, and had thrown a feathered hat on a chair. She picked it up and put it on for them. “Well?"
"Please, no little beard!” Jendri begged, laughing. “Yes, it is very fetching, my lord."
"You look delicious,” V'Anekka said. “Are we to hear love songs?"
"Yes, but not from me. I have no desire to torture you. The orchestra will play them.” She removed her hat and swept the floor with the feather as she bowed to them. “I will see you in the library soon, my ladies."
The wives looked at each other after the door closed behind their wife. “Oh, my god!” Jendri squealed, hands to her face.
"She means to play some games. What fun!” V'Anekka enthused. “Quickly! Get ready!"
They practically fell out of the bed and managed to join K'Endarra less than ten minutes later. As they entered, they dropped a very hastily-practiced joint curtsey, and nearly lost their balance. They straightened up, giggling.
K'Endarra looked at them. “You're frightening me. What a good thing that particular maneuver is no longer in vogue."
"Well, we were trying to adapt to the mood you were creating, darling,” Jendri said, giving her spouse a kiss. “So do we have period confections here as well?"
"Indeed!” K'Endarra grinned. “This wine was bottled over 200 years ago, and the appetizers are from recipes of the period.” She poured for them as they helped themselves from the serving dishes.
"Delicious!” V'Anekka cried. “You are ever so thoughtful, my lord."
"I think of nothing but your pleasure, my lady” K'Endarra said earnestly. “One moment.” She stepped to the open door to the balcony and snapped her fingers. A few seconds later, strains of a haunting love song drifted in. She turned back to them. “I have planned a night for you that I hope you will never forget."
"I am already stunned,” Jendri sighed, settling into a wing chair. “What more could there be?"
"Patience, my lady,” K'Endarra said, dropping to one knee before her wife. “All will be revealed in due course.” She took Jendri's hand and kissed it sensuously, the tip of her tongue grazing the palm. Leaving her first wife shivering with delight, she stepped behind V'Anekka and brushed the back of her neck with her lips. “You are so lovely,” she murmured, so that only her Second Consort could hear.
V'Anekka gasped and felt wetness begin to seep down her thighs. K'Endarra smiled knowingly and led her to the couch, seating her slightly dazed second wife. She sat beside her and held out a hand to Jendri, pulling her to sit on the other side. “Now, I want both of you to forget, for tonight, that I am your lord. Tonight, I am just your lover. I would like that to happen more often, if, after this, you decide you like it. It does not mean you will lose your submissive nature. I would just like to be softer and more romantic sometimes. Is that all right?"
Jendri shook herself slightly, as if she had nodded off, but it was only that the gentleness of her wife's voice and manner had mesmerized her. “Yes, K'Endarra, let's try it and see.” The Queen Consort remembered a time when K'Endarra had been too solicitous, and they had reversed course. Perhaps they could now chart more of a middle path.
"Mmmmmmmmm,” was all V'Anekka had to say in response.
"I'll take that as agreement,” K'Endarra smiled. She kissed each one and invited them to bring their wine and appetizers onto the balcony. “We have some time before dinner is served. We will have servants tonight, until dessert. Then we are on our own."
They went out to look at the stars, sip their wine and enjoy one another's company as equals until a discreet gong notified them that their meal was ready. K'Endarra gave each wife an arm and escorted them in, where they found a round table set for three and a servant in period livery behind each chair. The aromas coming from the chafing dishes on the sideboard were varied and tempting. Jendri felt her stomach growl and V'Anekka was afraid she might drool. However, both maintained their regal bearing in front of the servants.
The orchestra continued to play as K'Endarra explained each dish, opened different wines and told clever and interesting anecdotes about her ancestors of the troubadour period. All of the appointments on the table were antiques brought from elsewhere around the palace to create the proper setting for the occasion, and many of them had stories, too.
Jendri and K'Endarra watched and listened in utter fascination to their lord, transformed into a most romantically anachronistic character. Once the dessert was served, the servants bowed and withdrew, leaving the royal women to their own devices and delights.
"Whatever got you involved in so much history, K'Endarra?” Jendri demanded.
"It was all the dusty volumes lying about, intended to inform Sharue! I dipped in here and there and could not stop. I think it was the costumes that pushed me over the edge. Now, my loves, tell the truth: is this not perfect for your intellectual insatiability? Would anyone else appreciate this as you do?"
They knew they didn't have to lie. K'Endarra was demonstrating that she knew her different women had different needs, and she respected their abilities and achievements highly.
"Oh, you are a dear, darling woman!” V'Anekka cried, throwing her arms around the Queen's neck. “You do love us! You really do!"
Jendri was only slightly less enthusiastic. “You are so sensitive! I had no idea you were so imaginative and, frankly, so flexible! Now, what on the world have you been doing in your bedroom?"
"After dessert, you will see. But let us enjoy the music and this delightful port. Come,” she said, rising. “We will dance under the stars."
It was not easy waltzing three at a time, but they gave it a try, and then took turns, out of sight of the musicians, of course. When they were reduced to gales of laughter, K'Endarra took them to the arbor, where she served them iced drinks from a cart that had been left on the balcony.
"Are you feeling romantic yet? I am ready to burst!” the Queen confessed.
"Now there's the K'Endarra
we know and love,” Jendri needled.
"After teasing us to bursting, she complains,” V'Anekka remarked.
"Oh, you misunderstand me. I have greater patience than you think,” K'Endarra said, a twinkle in her eye. “And as soon as you are ready to go in—"
"Now would be good,” Jendri said huskily, caressing her wife through her velvet trousers. The high boots were working to arouse her as well. She wanted to wrap herself around them and hold them between her breasts. She wanted to feast on the hot womanhood between those strong thighs.
"Perhaps you would help me,” V'Anekka said plaintively. “My knees feel weak."
"I can't carry both of you,” K'Endarra laughed. “But,” she said, rising and turning to scoop up her first wife, “if you are patient, I will take you one at a time."
With that, she swept Jendri inside to the satin couch next to the double doors to her bedroom. “No peeking,” she admonished with a kiss to Jendri's nose, and in a few moments she was back with a giddy V'Anekka in her arms.
"Close your eyes and I will lead you in. Ready?” Taking each wife by the hand she opened the doors and they all shuffled through. As soon as she had closed the doors again, K'Endarra said, “Surprise!"
The two women blinked. “What in the world?” Jendri finally managed.
Some special draperies had been installed, in perfect accord with the room's grand, yet spare, décor. One drapery enclosed the bed, with room enough inside to walk around it. The other bisected the bed straight down the middle from head to foot, ending a few inches past the footboard, and puddling slightly on the spread. The drapes were made to slide easily in different directions on rods high overhead. In addition, there were powerful lamps on either side of the bed, trained on the mattress for the moment. They could be swiveled in any direction.
Halting at the edge of the curtain at the foot of the bed, K'Endarra said, “Say goodnight to each other, my darlings. Jendri, the right side is yours, and V'Anekka, the left. If you leave the bed, go outside the exterior curtain. You are off limits to one another for the rest of the night. No talking to each other, either. I assume you'll be ... vocalizing a little later, and that I understand. But no conversation."
Giggling, the two wives hugged each other goodnight and got into the bed on their own sides, kicking off their slippers.
Joining Jendri, K'Endarra directed, “V'Anekka, turn your light away from the bed, and then watch the curtain.” When the light shifted, K'Endarra turned to Jendri and, with exaggerated movement, pushed her slowly back on the mattress and kissed her. Jendri immediately realized that V'Anekka must be able to see their shadow on the curtain, which was not sheer, but just dense enough to create a backdrop. Accordingly, she arched up and threw her arms around K'Endarra, raising a leg to rest on her backside as well.
A squeal of delight from the other side of the bed indicated that the experiment was functioning, and so K'Endarra, with a kiss goodbye, rolled off the bed and went around to her other wife, who looked at her longingly, a hand to her throat, face flushed. “Now Jendri, rotate your lamp away and watch, please,” K'Endarra said, revolving V'Anekka's lamp back to the bed. Then she slid onto the silk coverlet and caressed her second wife, pulling her up to kiss her at great length.
"Oh my!” Jendri said, watching the shadow play. “How ... suggestive!"
"Feel free to touch yourself. I shall allow V'Anekka to disrobe me. Enjoy the show,” K'Endarra invited, and with that she turned her attentions entirely to her second wife. At first they joined with long, lingering kisses, and then Jendri saw the outlines of V'Anekka tenderly undressing the Queen: boots, trousers, hose, shirt, halter. One by one the items were tossed to the floor as the lovers embraced. K'Endarra, now naked, ripped the bodice of V'Anekka's gown straight down, and the shreds joined the Queen's clothing on the plush carpeting. The Princess was wearing nothing else. Then the Queen turned and rose above V'Anekka, lowering herself slowly to ride the perfect body stretched beneath her.
It was hard for Jendri to process the silhouettes before her. Since it was only an outline, they looked almost like strangers to her, caught in a very intimate act. It was as though Jendri was not actually supposed to see this, but had stumbled accidentally upon it. Her hand crept between her legs to her Jewel, which kept her fingers from her clit, but did not restrict that organ's responses to the lovers on the other side of the curtain. Keeping her eye on the curtain, she slid away from it toward the edge of the bed, because the images were clearer from a distance.
Then she saw them.
K'Endarra's brown velvet pants lay on the floor, one leg extending past the dividing line of the curtain. With the lovers totally engaged and no restrictions on moving around on the bed, Jendri was able to slither carefully down and fish the garment from the floor without ever taking her eyes from the image of the women projected on the curtain. She inched back up, emitting little gasps and moans of ardor as she did so, none of them insincere. Once in place, she pressed her face into the crotch of the soft velvet trousers.
They were ambrosia, redolent with the Queen's musk, damp with her essence. “Gods, K'Endarra!” Jendri moaned, breathing in deeply.
On the other side, K'Endarra and V'Anekka were lost in the depths of one another. Jendri watched as K'Endarra moved slowly down from V'Anekka's lips, tracing her throat with her tongue, her lips coming to rest on a swollen nipple. When the Princess Consort cried out and arched to meet those lips, Jendri did the same. She caressed her nipples with the velvet, pressed her Jewel into the crotch of the pants, even slipped them on and fingered herself as much as she could through the special opening of the pants through which K'Endarra received the attentions of her women.
Transfixed, as she saw K'Endarra turn above V'Anekka and put her head down between the younger woman's spread legs, Jendri moaned aloud along with V'Anekka. Jendri saw the shadow of V'Anekka's hands holding the Queen's head as she raised her own head to reach the Queen's dripping pussy. The two women rocked slowly, accommodating one another, and Jendri jammed her own fist into her mouth to keep from screaming with need. The graceful shadows and soft sounds were just as sensuous, if not more so, than viewing the act of love directly. When K'Endarra tenderly licked V'Anekka's clitoris, flames of desire licked Jendri's.
When the two Asperians climaxed together, the entire bed shuddered as if there had been an earthquake. It was almost as lengthy as the buildup to it had been. Jendri rolled back and forth, her legs drawn up, her hips moving automatically to mirror the lovers close beside her, who seemed so far away. “Ah, gods, gods, K'Endarra,” Jendri whispered to the image on the curtain. “Do it to her, and then do it to me."
Their couplings were usually much fiercer, but K'Endarra admitted to herself that she was enjoying this. She could make her wives whimper and beg just as much when she was solicitous as when she was demanding. V'Anekka's legs were clamped around her head and her tongue was vibrating on her clit as if she were being electrocuted. Yet her screams of pleasure indicated there was no pain involved. She made sure her wife was finished before disengaging from her just long enough to lie over her, face to face once again.
V'Anekka reached for K'Endarra, digging her nails into the Queen's backside and yanking her down. In her haze of pleasure, K'Endarra realized there would be marks to show for that, she was glad. She would wear them proudly to bed with Sharue on their wedding night. They would serve as a reminder to the younger woman that she must work to keep her place in the Queen's affections and bed.
K'Endarra slid sideways a little so each woman's large outer clitoris was in firm contact with the other's thigh, and together they drove into each other to elicit another series of deeply satisfying orgasms, thrashing and screaming uncontrollably, so intense were the sensations.
Jendri felt and saw every move and heard every sound. Because she couldn't see detail, she was forced to notice the movement. The convulsive motions of the two bodies together were actually far more arousing than being able to see everything else. Or
gasm was reduced to simple, uncontrollable spasms. They wrung a garbled cry of desire from deep inside the First Consort.
Her ass ground into the mattress as if K'Endarra was on top of her. She rolled back and forth with her hand in her crotch, begging for mercy while waiting her turn. “Do me, oh, do me. First her, then me,” she gasped. “Finish her, and come with me, before I die."
But K'Endarra took her time with her second wife, continuing to lie with her as she relaxed from her orgasms. “How was that?” K'Endarra asked, smoothing V'Anekka's damp hair back from her cheek. “Is that something you would enjoy doing again?"
"Oh, my love, I enjoy anything that pleases you. Did it?"
"Immensely. I only regret that, as I must be part of the show, I cannot see it,” K'Endarra laughed.
"Well, you go and make love with Jendri, and I will tell you all about it. I am sure with you as the lead actor, it must be a beautiful sight,” V'Anekka smiled. “Mmmmm, I will miss you,” she said, kissing her liege lingeringly.
"When Jendri pleasures me, you will come again. Then, when we are done, I will draw the curtain back, and we will all sleep in each other's arms,” the Queen promised.
"Yes, thank you, K'Endarra. Now, go enjoy your wife,” V'Anekka urged.
"You are my wife,” K'Endarra reminded her with one last kiss. Then she slipped into her discarded shirt and strolled around to see how Jendri was faring.
She found Jendri in a heap, trembling and wet with tears and perspiration, not to mention the copious liquids she had produced in her excitement. “Oh, my poor baby,” K'Endarra said. “Come and let me refresh you a little.” Giving Jendri her hand, she helped her wife hobble to the bathroom, where she applied cool cloths to her face, breasts and genitals, murmuring soothingly all the while. When Jendri was calm and eager for her, The Queen led her back to the bed and turned the lamp so that V'Anekka would see their forms on the curtain.
"Ah, I see you have been taking a little comfort with my trousers,” K'Endarra smiled, removing them from the bed. “But I think you will prefer the real thing.” By now the Queen was also rested and eager for her first wife. She put Jendri on her back and rose over her, her posture inviting Jendri to remove the shirt she had put back on.
